I started off perhaps as far away as possible from being a historical writer as it was possible to be. My career was in dentistry, but I picked up research skills when I did a PhD in the subject area of public health. You will see from "the book" section how my work mutated into writing about history! I live in Dorset, with my partner Danielle and a big black cat called Sidney.
